STORM EVENTS

Dam V-C is a dry dam - normally has no water in the pool area. When rains are heavy, the dam functions as designed by allowing the water to back up into the pool area, holding it there, and slowly releasing it through the inlet structure.

The trash rack on the structure catches debris, preventing it from going downstream where it would cause a debris jam in the channel and flooding of adjacent areas along the channel.
